Will this actually work for me?

Isn't an elimination diet hard? How much time will this take me?

Most participants spend just a few hours per week implementing strategies, and you can progress at your own pace. Will I be able to get off of my medications if I go through the resources in the AIC?
We always recommend working closely with your healthcare provider. This program is designed to complement your medical treatment, not replace it. Many participants find that as they implement our holistic strategies—reducing inflammation, supporting gut health, and balancing their nervous system—they can have meaningful conversations with their doctors about potentially reducing or stopping medications. Our goal is to support your body's natural healing processes, giving you more options and control over your health journey.
I also want to state that it’s not a failure to BE on medication or to have to have surgery for your disease. We are fortunate to live in a time where all of these tools are available to us, and sometimes it requires a blending of these tools in order to get the most improvement. Autoimmunity unfortunately does mean tissue, organ, and cell destruction, so sometimes it's necessary to use medication to replace what your body no longer can produce on its own.
I personally take thyroid medication every day because I didn't learn I had an autoimmune disease until a large portion of my thyroid was destroyed, and my son uses insulin for his Type 1 Diabetes (an autoimmune disease of the pancreatic beta cells) every day as well. Without these medications we wouldn’t be able to survive, so I am so thankful we have them available to us.
Can you do this if you're a Vegan or Vegetarian?
The Autoimmune Collective isn’t specifically designed for a Vegan diet, and I don’t offer Vegan meal plans or recipes. While the gut-healing approach in Month 1 typically includes animal-based proteins, there are alternative paths—such as the non-diet method of gut healing—that can still support your healing journey.
If you follow a Paleo or gluten-free/dairy-free diet, you can modify the meal plans, but I don’t provide recipes specifically for those approaches. That said, the other 11 months of The Full Body Health Reboot—which focus on nervous system regulation, emotional healing, exercise, and sustainable lifestyle changes—are beneficial no matter what diet you follow. Plus, you’ll have access to guided meditations, workouts, stress-relief tools, and more inside The Autoimmune Collective.
So while a fully Vegan approach isn’t the best fit for AIP-style gut healing, there’s still plenty inside the program to support your autoimmune healing in a way that works for you.
Can't I just do this on my own?
You could try to do this on your own, but the truth is, healing autoimmune disease requires more than just Googling solutions and hoping something sticks (if you even know what to Google in the first place!)
